The Tarot Deck contains 78 Tarot cards and each card has a unique and very different Rider Waite Tarot Deck
Tarot card meaning. There are 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards and there are 4 suits the suits are called Pentacles, Cups, Swords and Batons or Wands.
For me, I found that it was important that the Tarot Cards had vibrant and clear designs. I found that when learning The Tarot I could relate to the cards to jog my memory of the meanings. One of my favourite decks is the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot Deck
It is the same as the original Rider Waite Tarot Deck but now with more vibrant colours.
Based on drawings by Pamela Colman Smith. To describe the colouring of these cards as radiant is not an overstatement, as they are brilliant and luminous, and truly beaming with happiness. The cards have a clean, white border all around the images, with the numbers on the top in Roman numerals for the Major Arcana and spelled out in capital letters on the Lower Arcana. The titles and suits are in capital letters, in the same very pleasant typeface, also centered on the bottom of the cards. Includes 78-card deck and instruction booklet.

Minor Arcana Tarot Card Meanings

The Minor Arcana consists of four suits, each with 14 cards. The Minor Arcana reflect the day-to-day activities in our lives.
The Minor Arcana or lesser secrets. These consist of fifty-six cards, sometimes known as pips. Minor arcana comprise of four suits of fourteen cards each: ten numbered cards and four court cards. The page, knight, queen and king make up the court cards in each of the four tarot suits. Traditional Italian suits of tarot are swords, batons, coins and cups. Modern tarots slightly alter the names of the suits; the batons suit is sometimes called wands, rods, or staves, and the coins suit is often called pentacles or disks. I like to call them the wands and the pentacles.

Major Arcana Tarot Card Meanings

The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards and reflect key archetypes or spiritual lessons in our life. The Star
The Major Arcana or greater secrets. Typically, known as trump cards, these are twenty-one cards without suits. These cards are known by their titles: The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement, and The World. There is a twenty-second card called The Fool. Its value is equivalent to zero.

An influential Tarot deck which is popular in English-speaking countries is the Rider-Waite deck. The deck’s imagery, drawn by artist Pamela Colman-Smith following the instruction of Christian mystic Arthur Edward Waite, is complex and filled with occult symbolism, particularly the trump cards. An important thing that sets the Rider-Waite deck from the Marseilles-style decks is that the scenes in the numeric cards depict divinatory meanings derived from traditional cartomantic divinatory meanings and from those adopted by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
